渡辺 靖子（チェロ） Yasuko Watanabe, cello
新潟市出身。第32回新潟県音楽コンクール最優秀賞。新潟大学教育学部特音課程チェロ専攻卒業、同大学院修士課程修了。英国王立ノーザン音楽院を大学院ディプロマおよびプロフェッショナル・パフォーマンス・ディプロマを得て修了。ハーシュ賞、グラナダ賞および奨学金を得る。D・ボストック指揮RNCMシンフォニー・オーケストラのCD録音（20世紀前半イギリス音楽）にて首席チェロを務める。マンチェスターの教会のコンサートシリーズにて聴衆賞を受賞。ケンダル・ミュージック・ソサエティ室内楽リサイタルやハダスフィールド現代音楽祭、湖水地方音楽祭等に出演。英国およびパリにて、コリン・カー、ラルフ・カーシュバウム、ナターリャ・グートマンらのマスタークラスにて研鑚を積む。2004年に新潟市だいしホールにて帰国リサイタルを開催。2005年、NHK「ゆうどき新潟」に出演、バッハの無伴奏組曲を演奏。2006年、新潟室内合奏団とボッケリーニの協奏曲を共演。2007年のリサイタル「20世紀の室内楽」では、日本室内楽財団の助成を得て、ビーミッシュ作曲「イースク」の日本初演を含むプログラムで好評を得る。2008年（財）地域創造の公共ホール音楽活性化アウトリーチ・フォーラムin岡山に参加。2010年NAGANO国際音楽祭に出演。現在、ソロ、室内楽、オーケストラの演奏活動を行うほか、トリオ・アルティカのメンバーとしてアウトリーチにも積極的に取り組んでいる。舘野英司、菅野博文、エマ・フェランド、アラスダー・テイトの各氏に師事。

Yasuko Watanabe studied at Niigata University, where she earned a Masters Degree. She then went to the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she studied under Emma Ferrand and Alasdair Tait. During her time at the RNCM she was awarded numerous prizes and scholarships, and performed throughout the U.K. including at the Menuhin Concert in the Lake District and at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. She was also the leader of the cello section of the RNCM Symphony Orchestra for the recording of the CD The British Symphony Collection, Vol. 10, conducted by Douglas Bostock. After gaining Diplomas in solo performance and chamber music, she toured with the Hibiki Strings of Japan, conducted by Kazuki Sawa, performing in Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester and London. Since returning to Japan in 2004, she has been an active freelance cellist working with various chamber groups and orchestras. She is a keen promoter of British music in Japan. Her 2007 recitals in Niigata, Tokyo and Kashiwa included a Japan premiere of Beamish’s Iasg. As a cellist of the Trio Artica, she has performed outreach concerts in Okayama, Osaka and Yokohama. She has recently worked with the Royal Opera House on their tour in Tokyo and performed at the Nagano International Music Festival. She also enjoys her teaching career giving classes both in Yokohama and Niigata. . .
